Early Morning Fire in Airmont

Early this morning, emergency personnel responded to a fire on Cherry Lane in the Village of Airmont.

The call came in at 4:39 a.m. and emergency personnel were able to safely evacuate the home next to the burning shed.

The Ramapo Police Department along with the Tallman, Suffern, and Mahwah Fire Departments responded to the scene and put the fire out with minimal damage to the house. WP Faist Ambulance and Rockland Paramedics were on standby for this incident, however, no injuries were reported.

The RPD Detective Bureau and Rockland County Sheriffs BCI are currently investigating the cause of the fire which was out by 5:32 a.m.
