Driver Who Struck Victim With Vehicle Charged With Attempted Murder

A Central Nyack driver was charged with second-degree murder after attempting to run down another man.  

The driver, 48-year-old Edward Grigsby, ran over his victim on Thursday, March 9, shortly before 3:20 p.m.

Police, who were called to the scene in Hillcrest, found a seriously injured victim on location who was subsequently transported to Westchester Medical Center by Spring Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 

Grigsby, who had remained at the scene, was investigated by the Ramapo Police Department Investigations Division and the Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit. It was determined that he had intentionally struck the victim with his vehicle. 

He was arrested, and bail has been set at $75,000.
