Clarkstown Set to Purchase Four New Buses

Clarkstown County has approved the purchase of four new mini buses to replace vehicles in the Town of Clarkstown's Mini Trans bus service fleet.

Executive Ed Day, together with Town of Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and Rockland County Department of Public Transportation

Acting Commissioner Doug Scheutz, signed a resolution on Friday, July 22, approving $350,000 for the purchase.

The total cost for the four buses is approximately $325,563.68, with an additional $6,109.08 per bus to cover any production changes.

The cutaway-style buses are being purchased using an existing State contract.

The County secured 100% funding for the purchase from the New York State Department of Transportation. No County tax dollars are being used.
