Chernobyler Shtiebel to Open Doors in Monsey

Chernobyler Shtiebel to Open Doors in Monsey

This coming Shabbos, parshas Yisro, will make history for the Chernobyler chassidim in Monsey who have received the guidance and the blessings of the Chernobyler Rebbe for the opening of a brand new shtiebel to serve as their spiritual home.

A growing number of young families from the chassidus have chosen Monsey as their home, necessitating the establishment of this kehillah.

While they do not yet have their own place, tefillos will take place at the Viznitzer Talmud Torah on Maple Avenue.

To formally establish the kehillah, the Rebbe made his way to Monsey a number of weeks ago, conducting a tisch in honor of the yohrtzeit of Rebbe Aaron Chernobyler, with the event serving as the foundation for the fledgling community. The last few weeks have been a flurry of activity towards this moment, encouraged every step of the way by the Rebbe, shlit”a.

In honor of this inaugural Shabbos, the Rebbe’s son, Rav Mordechai, will spend Shabbos in Monsey together with the founding members—helping them to establish a beautiful branch of the Chernobyler chassidus within the Monsey community
