Catalytic Converter Thieves Foiled in the Dead of Night at Shoppers Haven

By M. C. Millman

With fifteen Rockland Kosher delivery trucks left overnight in the parking lot and catalytic converter thefts up across the nation, as reported in Rockland Daily here, it is no surprise to hear that Rockland Kosher was a target last night for a group of wily thieves.

What is a surprise as well as a bracha is that the criminals were frightened away midway through cutting the catalytic converter out from the first truck when the custodian exited the store at 2:33 a.m., having finished work at just the right moment causing all four would-be thieves to scatter and take off in their getaway car.

When asked by Rockland Daily what they plan on doing going forward to prevent future thefts from happening, Rockland Kosher’s representative said the store would have to hire security.

Other methods of preventing catalytic converter thefts have been reported here by Rockland Daily.
