In a full-day event that allowed police officers to participate no matter when their shift ended, Chananya Goldenberg, owner of Care 365 and SBV Workforce Management, welcomed 278 Rockland police officers and their families to the American Dream Mall on Tuesday, July 26. The officers and their families enjoyed a day of entertainment, great food, and great fun sponsored by Goldenberg to express Rockland's deep hakaras hatov for everything the police department does for the community.

The event was arranged by Gershy Moskowits Productions to pay tribute to the outstanding Ramapo Police Department, Rockland County Sheriff's Office and Patrol Division, and the Rockland County Sheriffs Office Corrections Division.

The event was two months in the making, according to Moskowits, who liaised with Officer Julianne Franklin, Rockland County Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President, and Sergeant Sanchez, Rockland County Patrolmen's Benevolent Association Vice President.

Slice and Spice provided brunch from 11 – 2. Afterward, Shloimy and Sruly Goldenberg from The Flame restaurant provided a buffet dinner.

No event of this magnitude could be complete without the ultimate gastronomic delight for police officers – so fresh donuts were made available throughout the day. A unique ice cream dish was made on the spot as well.

The DreamWorks Water Park was rented out for the officers and their families, as was the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park,  Mirror Maze, and the Legends of the Hidden Temple Ropes Course, the tallest ropes course in the world. As an added touch to the all-day event, parking was free for attendees.

Every child left not only with large smiles but with bags of swag, including Nickelodeon slime, Angry Birds clay, and other themed prizes and toys.

"I've done numerous large-scale events, including events for 50,000-100,000 people," says Gershy Moskowits, CEO of Gershy Moskowits Productions, "but to see the officers with their families, recognizing the hakaras hatov Yidden have while being a part of this tremendous, tremendous kiddush Hashem is an amazing feeling. From the 375 members of the police department who were there, there wasn't anybody who wasn't smiling."

Chananya Goldenberg and Gershy Moskowits extended their thanks to the staff at the American Dream mall, including Rabbi Eli Berkowitz,  Don  Ghermezian, CEO, and Aviva Ghermezian for their generosity and efforts in ensuring a thrilling day was had by all.
