Brush Fire In Stony Point Spreads To House

What started out as a small brush fire in a yard in Stony Point quickly spread and grew into something a lot more serious, prompting a response from multiple fire departments. 

The Stony Point, Hillcrest, West Haverstraw, and Thiells fire departments, as well as Stony Point EMS, responded to a structure fire on Central Highway. The fire started out in the property's shed and brush, but spread and engulfed the home as well.

Firefighters battled the flames for a while until they managed to get it under control.
