BREAKING: Suspect in Multiple Holdups Around Rockland Apprehended

At approximately 1 AM Monday morning, the Spring Valley Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a gas station in Spring Valley. the suspect walked into the gas station brandishing a gun and held up cashier, who complied with his demand. The suspect then fled the scene. 

Later Monday morning, another holdup was carried out at another location in Spring Valley. 

After an extensive investigation by Spring Valley Police Department and the FBI, 40-year-old Adham Mohammed El-Gamal was apprehended at his residence in Harriman, NY, in the early morning hours of Wednesday. El-Gamal was also being sought for a string of robberies around New York.  

He was brought before a federal magistrate at the Southern District of New York Federal Court and remanded to federal custody.
