A BMW was stolen in the dead of night from a driveway in Forshay. 

While the car was stolen by a gang of four at 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday night, the theft was only noticed at around 5 a.m. The owner immediately called Chaverim of Rockland, who is working with the Ramapo Police Department to locate the vehicle.

Chaverim believes that the thieves came from Newark, as they have in the past, as reported by Rockland Daily here.

Chaverim members went to search for the vehicle there. Members are also on the lookout to see if any items of value were thrown out of the car in proximity to where the car was stolen from.

"The Ramapo Police Department would like to remind residents to lock the doors of their cars and to remove valuables, car keys, and key fobs from inside the car," Ramapo Police Detective Sergeant Michael Higgens shares with Rockland Daily readers. "Park in a well-lit area as well."
