Beis Yechezkel in Memory of Karlsburger Rov Opens in Monsey

By: Yitzy Fried

This Shabbos will be an inaugural for newly-formed Khal Beis Yechezkel in Monsey.

One year has passed since the great light has been taken from this world; the first yohrtzeit of Rav Yechezkel Roth, zt”l, known for his kedusha v’tahara, his mastery of the entire Torah, and his tremendous koach in psak, was marked earlier this week.

On the heels of this comes the opening of yet another Beis Medrash in his name. This time in Monsey, and it will be led by his youngest son, Rav Yitzchok Eizik, shlit”a.

All of Rav Yechezkel’s sons are known talmidei chachomim. His successor at the Karlsburger Beis Medrash is his son Rav Moshe. His son Rav Amrom has led the Homorod Beis Medrash for decades in Boro Park. Newly opened in the last year is Khal and Kolel Mareh Yechezkel—each and every one a testament to the great lost light of their illustrious father.
