Rockland Daily Staff
Friends and acquaintances recall a highly intelligent individual who was sensitive and loving to all. "Nothing came easy to him," recalled a friend. "And yet, you never heard even one single word of complaint from him. He went on with his life, working, learning, celebrating every moment."
Sruly's devastated friends spent last night in stunned mourning. "The common denominator of all our recollections was his deep sensitivity," recalled a friend. "If you were in his presence, there was no poking fun at anyone or denigrating anyone. This was something he would not abide," he said.
Since Covid placed him at higher risk due to his health conditions, Sruly worked and learned from home. He would celebrate siyumim often with his friends, and they loved being around him. His passing leaves his family and many friends stunned and deeply saddened, as they will remember this heroic fighter who was in their midst for thirty-six blessed year.
The levaya will take place at 1:00 this afternoon in Bobiv Shul in Boro Park. Yhei Zichro Baruch.
