BDE: Reb Levi Viznitzer, z”l, prominent Viznitzer Chossid

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Reb Levi Viznitzer, z”l, one of the chashuvim in the Viznitz-Monsey chassidus. He was in his seventies. 

The niftar was born in Eretz Yisroel, into a prominent family of Viznitzer chassdim. In his youth, he became close to his beloved Rebbe, the Imrei Chaim of Viznitz, zt”l. He married into the Neiman family of America, likewise a prominent family of Viznitzer chassidim for generations. 

The niftar was a central personality within the chassidus, remaining tethered with heart and soul to the Rebbe, Rebbe Mottele, and to ybl”ch, the current Rebbe of Monsey. He was admired as a role model for Torah, yiras Shomayim, and chassidus, until his passing after a brief illness. 

He leaves behind an incredible legacy, and a family of staunch chassidim who continue his legacy. 

The levaya took place this morning at the Viznitzer Beis Medrash on Phyllis Terrace.
