BDE: Rav Shlomo Chaim Braun, zt”l, Dayan in New Square

Rockland Daily regrets to inform you of the petirah of Rav Shloime Chaim Braun, a massive talmid chochom and Dayan in Skver. He was in his mid-60’s, and had been unwell for many years. 

He was the son of Reb Moshe Braun, a ehrliche, chassidishe Yid who would sit and learn for hours despite his busy work schedule. Reb Moshe dedicated himself to the chinuch of his children, and indeed merited for his children to grow into talmidei chachomim and pious Yidden.  

Rav Shlomo Chaim learned in the Skverer Yeshivos for all his formative years, and he stood out for his hasmodoh in learning. 

He joined the Skverer Beis Din for monetary matters, and was known for his erudition and mastery of the subject. 

He authored the seforim Yismach Chaim on Choshen Mishpot, and Shalmas Chaim on Ribis. 

Despite suffering with illness for many years, he was undeterred in keeping on learning and ruling haluchah. Sadly, he passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning. 

The Levaya will take place this morning in front of the Beis Medrash in Skver.
