By Y. S. Gold
We regret to inform you of the passing of Rav Dovid Wolpin, z"l, a longtime Monsey resident. He was 81 years of age.
The niftar was born in Seattle, Washington to his father, Reb Ephraim Benzion Wolpin, who establiehd a Torah home in the wilderness of America.
Dovid was the youngest of the brothers, and he followed his older brothers, Rav Chaim Baruch (Rosh Yeshiva in Stolin), Rav Michoel Yosef (an outstanding masmid and talmid chochom) and Reb Nisson (longtime editor of the Jewish Observer), to New York.
He established a beautiful Torah home, with children and grandchildren who are talmidei chachomim and marbitzei Torah in America and Eretz Yisroel.
Rav Dovid was sadly the victim of a car accident a number of weeks ago where he was badly hurt. He was niftar on Tuesday morning.
The levaya will take place at the Stoliner Shul in Monsey at 4:30, and from there it will proceed to Tiferes Gedalyahu. Kevurah will be at the Monsey Beis Hachaim.
Yehi zichro baruch.
