BDE: Mrs. Leah Stern, a"h

We are deeply saddened to inform you of the untimely petirah of Mrs. Leah Stern of Monsey and Gibbers. She was 49 years of age, and had married off a daughter only last week.

She was the daughter of Reb Moshe Kizelnick, a famed Viznitzer chossid, and the head of the Viznitzer chevra kaddisha. 

The nifteres was a popular recipe author who would publish recipes in the Boro Park and Monsey View, and she published a cookbook called "Around the Kitchen Table."

She lived for most of her life in Monsey, and moved to the Viznitzer kehillah in Gibbers in recent years. She passed away this morning after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.

There was a Levaya earlier today in Gibbers, and later in the afternoon in front of the Viznitzer Beis Medrash in Monsey. Kevurah will be in the Viznizter cemetery in Monsey.
