BDE: Mrs. Chaya Unger, a"h, Daughter of Rav Wosner, zt"l.

We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Unger of New Square, the wife Rav Yisroel Unger, z"l, and the daughter of the great posek hador, Rav Shmuel Halevi Wosner, zt"l. She was 82 years of age. 

She was raised in Bnei Brak in the home of the great gadol, and was a true daughter of a gadol hador. She would always recall her father, his hasmodoh b'Torah and his greatness of character. 

She married Rav Unger, and they settled in Skver, where they raised as beautiful Torah family. Reb Yisroel was the head of the Chevra Mishnayos of Skver, and a great ba'al chessed who went about his avodas hakodesh in a quiet, unassuming manner. He would also take care care of the coffee in the great Skverer Beis Medrash, bringing refreshment and nourishment to thousands of Yidden. In all of this work, Mrs. Unger was a true partner and support to her husband. 

She was always present in her home, doting upon her generations of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Recently, she had undergone a series of health challenges, and sadly passed away Wednesday afternoon. 

The levaya will take place Thursday morning in Shikun Skver.
