Assemblyman Mike Lawler Demonstrates His Support of RSK's Mission at Leil Shishi Restaurant

Assemblyman Mike Lawler helped out today at Leil Shishi Diner to support  Reb Shayala's Kitchen. 

Lawler presented RSK with a certificate of merit on behalf of the state assembly. The certificate recognizes RSK as one of the best nonprofits in the 97th assembly district. 

Lawler spoke about the work RSK does, saying, "I like to recognize businesses, nonprofits, and restaurants for the work they do for the community." 

RSK provides dinner meals to families in need and is also on a mission to fulfill the dream of R' Shayala of Kerestir. The organization creates more self-sufficient, financially independent families who no longer need to lean on charity. RSK's programs are designed to help hardworking families through temporary crises. The organization's goal is to enable these families to undergo a turnaround, find their footing, and become donors to the same fund that inspired their recovery. In addition to its meals program, RSK has a grocery assistance program and a financial coaching program. 

Lawler helped dish out the dinner meals RSK provides to families going thru a temporary hardship. The daily meals RSK provides are cooked and prepared daily by the Leil Shishi Diner.
