Arrest Made of Burglars Responsible for Break-in at Bobov-45 Shul and Neighboring Grocery

The two thieves who burglarized Congregation Kochvei Yitzchok Bobov-45 on Blauvelt Road early Thursday morning, as reported by Rockland Daily here, were arrested later Thursday by Ramapo Police Department detectives.
The thieves, aged twenty-one and twelve, and both from Monsey, were charged with burglary, larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property for their crime spree Thursday morning, which included overnight burglaries at three separate locations within the Town, all at religious facilities including shuls.
The 21-year-old male was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court on all charges. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of proceeds from a larceny at a retail store in the Village of Montebello, for which he was additionally charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Additionally, he had an outstanding warrant from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and was charged as a Fugitive from Justice. Bail was set at $10,000 for the Ramapo charges; however, he was remanded to the Rockland County Jail pending a hearing in New Jersey on the outstanding warrant.
