Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service

Rockland County elected officials, police officers, community leaders, and community members gathered together Sunday morning outside the County Courthouse in New City for Rockland's annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service.

The memorial service began at 11 am and was conducted in honor of Police Week. The service recognized law enforcement officers of Rockland County who dedicated and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

"It was a sobering event to remember the members of our law enforcement community who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty," Congressman Mike Lawler tweeted. "Our police put their lives on the line every day to protect us. It’s incumbent on us in Washington & at every level of government to be there for them."

The Rockland County Law Enforcement Memorial Monument has the names of all Rockland officers who dedicated and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. A link to the complete list of the Roll of Honor on the memorial can be found here:
