Amazon Driver's Quick Actions Save Family From Burning House in Rockland

Rockland Daily Staff

An Amazon delivery driver's knock on the door on Friday, November 25, may have saved a couple from injury or death.

Brianna Tuckey, an Amazon driver, noticed a house on fire during her regular delivery route and rushed to inform the occupants allowing them ample time to escape without injury.

"I noticed the whole back of the house was pretty much in flames," Tuckey said during an interview with CBS 2.

After calling 9-1-1, Tuckey pounded on the door and then had to convince the residents that the entire back of their house was going up in flames. Tuckey then sat for over an hour in her truck, keeping the household cat calm.

Although the fire destroyed the home on 4 Regina Court in Blauvelt, everyone who lived there escaped without injury, thanks to Tuckey's early warning.

The Fire Departments who were on the scene included Blauvelt, Central Nyack, and  West Nyack Ladder.
