Air Quality Advisory In Rockland County Due To New Jersey Wildfire

By Idy Perl
An air quality alert has been issued for Rockland County as the massive wildfire in New Jersey continues blazing.
The wildfire has exploded to a frightening 13,250 acres and might grow to become New Jersey's largest wildfire in 20 years. As of this morning the blaze is 50% contained.
A health advisory has been issued for the five boroughs and Rockland County as smoke from the wildfire travels over the New Jersey/New York border. The air quality is unhealthy for children, seniors, and anyone with a heart or lung condition, and sensitive individuals are urged to limit their time outdoors.
The current air quality advisory is in effect until midnight.
